Club Ivory Takes Off Across the Wasatch Front
In 1998, Ivory Homes introduced its first Club Ivory community - Ivory Highlands.
"The concept is to provide people with more than just a new home in Utah," says Ivory Development President Chris Gamvroulas. Amenities such as clubhouses, private swimming pools, tennis courts, neighborhood parks, tot lots, jogging trails and other outstanding features "enhance the value of their homes and add to the pleasure of living there," he says.
Ivory Highlands has been such an overwhelming success from the beginning that Ivory began developing other Club Ivory communities in select locations in Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Utah and Washington counties.
"Our Club Ivory communities are incredibly popular," affirms Ivory Homes Marketing Manager Jim Dunford. "Homebuyers appreciate the amazing value that these special amenities add to a community and how much fun they can be." Drive through any Club Ivory community and you can see a distinct difference between them and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Each community is unique because each site is unique. Ivory Development's team of land planners, engineers and land specialists take pains to incorporate site-specific features into each community, often in the form of shared open space and recreational amenities.
Cranberry Farms is a great example. Instead of tearing down the previous owner's large, luxurious log home, complete with a swimming pool and other facilities, Ivory converted it into a spectacular community center.
In southeast Draper, Valle Di Villa's terraced homesites wind up the hillside, presenting evermore surprising vistas of towering peaks and broad sweeps of the valley below. What makes this Club Ivory community so desirable, besides its elite address, is the way Ivory Development capitalized on both the natural landscape and the manicured fairways of the adjacent Hidden Valley Golf Course.
A deep, heavily vegetated ravine was left in its natural state. Ivory Homes also retained areas of native oak along the trails and borders of Valle Di Villa. "In fact," says Gamvroulas, "anything we could preserve, we kept in its natural state."
"Sometimes the most challenging property leads to the best features of a Club Ivory community," suggests Gamvroulas. For example, Ivory Crossing in South Jordan got its name from the creative way Ivory Homes connected two halves of a subdivision. "We needed to incorporate elements that would literally connect both sides of 3200 West so residents of Ivory Crossing could easily get back and forth," Gamvroulas recalls. "We also needed to connect the two sides relationally, so both halves would seem part of the same community."
The solution combines a beautifully designed roundabout and gateways on both sides of the crossing, which, with their low brick walls and monumental brick and stone columns, reflect the motif of the main entrance.
Many other Club Ivory communities are underway with exciting, site-specific amenities of their own. For more information about selecting a homesite in one of Ivory's Club Ivory communities, please visit a model home, call 1-866-GO-IVORY or request more information about all Club Ivory communities.
